The Lloydminster & Vermilion for Equity Foundation is a conduit for the racially marginalized.
The LVE Foundation promotes economic and social equity by:
- Connecting to and enhancing community support
- Working collaboratively with others in the community to identify and bring focus to injustice and inequality that leads to socio-economic distortions
- Conducting and assembling research on systemic racism and its history and dissemination of this research to the general public
- Increasing the public’s appreciation of Indigenous culture and history through education
- Identification of the need for the basic necessities of life, including food, clean water, clothing, and/or shelter for members of the community, with a specific, but not limited, focus on the racially marginalized
- Increasing the awareness of the need for the basic necessities of life
- Recruiting volunteers, organizing donation drives, and collecting and distributing donated items
- Improving access to social services that are a lifeline to the racially marginalized
- Promoting consistent, quality services that will enhance the standard of life for those who are living in poverty
